Where are my Goldendoodle lovers at?!
We brought home our first Goldendoodle pup 3.5 years ago (shown above in the 'new pup announcement'), and couldn't get over her smart, easy to train, sweet, loving and human-like she was! Fast forward, and we started chatting about adding another! We would talk about it then brush it off to the side. Then Covid came, quarantines ect. I mention to my husband that this would be the PERFECT time to add another, especially so the dogs wouldn't be *too* far apart in age. We wanted our first pup, Hazel, to still have that playful spunk if we were going to give her a rambunctious sister pup haha.
Well, apparently everyone got the same idea to get puppies at that time! For us too, we already knew the breed we wanted, the generation (first/F1), the size and the color, making it even tougher to find an available pup! That's when I found Brook & Bay Goldendoodles (they are AMAZING, the kindest people, and local!) and thank goodness they had another spot on their list for exactly what we were looking for; F1 Goldendoodle, red/apricot, standard size! The down side is they weren't born yet so we would have to wait 3 months to bring our new addition home! With a little convincing to the hubby that day, I put the deposit down that same evening and started ordering lots of goodies for the new pup! haha.
The wait felt like an eternity, but we picked our girl and brought her home back in June and she's just the smartest thing!! She was house broke within a week of coming home (around 9 weeks old), learned sit, stay, leave it, shake (with each paw), lay down and roll over pretty fast! By 4 months old she would open the back door to let herself out to potty, problem was she wouldn't close it so she'd let flies in every time lol. We're loving her lots and figured it's finally time to share some favorites from her newborn puppy photoshoot with you all!
Meet, Juniper Fern!
